Publications

The Institute for Spinal Health and Performance (ISHP) is published within the Index Medicus (PubMed journals) and the Index to Chiropractic Literature. The ISHP is dedicated to the scientific advancement of understanding spinal health and performance.

The Institute for Spinal Health and Performance Nonprofit is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation dedicated to the advancement of spinal health through scientific research, inventions, education, and innovation. Dr. Curtis Fedorchuk started ISHP research in 2006; it was registered as ISHP Nonprofit in 2017 by Dr. Curtis Fedorchuk and Dr. Doug Lightstone. Through this organization Dr. Curtis, Dr. Doug, and colleagues have published over 30 peer-reviewed spine and Chiropractic research publications. Further, the ISHP Nonprofit has supported spinal health advancements and education.

Results of our studies have been published in high-quality research journals and presented at conferences around the world. Donations and support enable us to continue essential research and gives you the opportunity to be a part of it. The result is better patient management, treatment, and care.

ISHP research consists of studies on a variety of spine and health-related topics including:

  • Spine biomechanics studies analyzing spinal alignment and posture and physiology;
  • Reliability of measurements and evaluations of spinal alignment and posture;
  • Validity of measurement methods for evaluations of spinal alignment and posture;
  • Case series studies evaluating technique outcomes;
  • Case studies evaluating technique outcomes.

Table 1 summarizes ISHP published research in respective journals in scientific literature.
